Tuesday night's Sacrament ceremony was a beautiful occasion with families and students being together beginning their Sacramental Journey at Our Lady's Primary School. The Sacrament of Reconciliation is especially important in the Catholic Tradition as it is the first step in being ready to welcome and receive Jesus at the Sacrament of First Holy Eucharist.
Congratulations to our students who participated in this Sacrament for the First Time!

With the Sacrament of First Reconciliation completed, we look forward to our next Sacrament together as a School and Parish Community: FIRST HOLY EUCHARIST.
We have begun preparations for students in Year 4 who will be receiving Jesus for the first time during the Eucharistic Celebration at Mass. A notice was sent out to each child in Year 4 with:
Please note that only students who have received the Sacrament of Reconciliation in 2023 or 2024 and have been enrolled into the Sacrament preparation via the link will be able to participate in this Special occasion in June.
For families in Years 5 and 6 wishing for their child/ren to receive the Sacrament of First Holy Eucharist, please email me ataiacopino@olps.vic.edu.au to confirm your child's possibility of receiving the Sacrament.
As part of our Catholic Mission during the season of Lent we raise money for Project Compassion, this money will help many communities in Australia and around the world in need. An initiative are continuing is for students to wear something purple on Fridays to acknowledge our Season of Lent and to donate some money for Project Compassion
This item of clothing should not take away totally from the OLPS school uniform and as such the following items are recommended:
This special initiative will run each Friday for the whole of Term 1 only.
Through our combined efforts, we hope to raise much needed funds to support those in need with Project Compassion. We look forward to seeing our community come together in almsgiving during this season!
Important Dates for each Sacrament will be added closer to the times.

Sacrament of Confirmation - Year 6
In our final Sunday of Lent before Jesus' passion begins at Palm Sunday, we are given the spoilers of what is to come. Jesus reminds us of the importance of loving the gift and mystery of life itself.
We do not need to hang onto the material things of life to see its beauty and be in awe of what it brings. This weekend, take a moment and enjoy this beautiful creation God has given us. It never stops amazing us.
Have a great week ahead and God Bless,
Mr Angelo Iacopino
