From our Principal

Christine Pillot

Congratulations on a Positive Term 1, & Happy Easter & Term Break

I would like to thank and congratulate all members of the Croydon SDS community for their hard work and support this term.  Our students have demonstrated some fabulous skills and independence in the way that they have started the school year and quickly adapted to their new class, school routines and programs.  Staff have worked hard behind the scene to plan and provide an inclusive and positive learning environment for each student in their care.  Parents and carers, we thank you for your in partnership with school structures and staff, this has heavily supported and enriched student achievement and success throughout the term.

I wish everyone, (students, parents/carers and staff) a lovely Easter and school break, hopefully taking time to rest and enjoy time with loved ones.

Annual General Meeting

At our AGM last night, I presented the 2023 Annual Report. The report highlighted many of our achievements throughout the year in the areas of Learning, Wellbeing, Engagement and Financial Performance. Thank you to the parents, staff members and community member who attended the meeting and endorsed the report.  The full annual report will be now provided to the DE for their review and endorsement.  Following this, the full report will be published and made available to the general public via our school website.

Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund (CSEF)

The CSEF is provided by the government to assist eligible families to cover the costs of school trips, camps and sporting events.  If you hold a means-tested concession card, such as a health care card, you may be eligible for CSEF.  Please see the Notices and Flyers page in this newsletter for further information. Alternatively, please contact our office staff if you would like to discuss this or request a CSEF application form.

Shop for Your School

We are excited that for the next two Thursday's, Eastland are offering DOUBLE POINTS on all purchases made at any of the participating fresh food retailers.

With families starting to purchase all their food needs for Easter including “Easter Bunny” gifts – this is the great chance to take advantage of this great bonus.

Please note that the double points will automatically be tallied upon the uploading of receipts from the backend, and parents/carers will not be required to do anything extra (except shop).
