SWPBS – Data Collection

SWPBS is an evidence-based framework that has been implemented at our college for six years.  The compass chronicles entered by staff are collated and analysed through Pulse ( a function of compass).  Through this analysis it highlights our expected behaviours that are least achieved.  The least achieved behaviours become our focus behaviour for the next cycle, which is usually 3 to 4 weeks long. Below is the compass post we send to all staff and students at the beginning of each new cycle. Through huddle and homeroom we address and re-teach our focus behaviours.

SWPBS Focus – Term 3 - Weeks 4 to 6- Focus Expected Behaviours

Our focus behaviours are determined by the data we collected in Term 3, Weeks 1 to 3. See below:

  1. I will complete my classwork and homework. - Responsibility
  2. I will build and look after friendships - Resilience
  3. I will use manners and kind words. -  Respect
  4. I will keep my hands, feet and objects to myself - Resilience
  5. I will be an active learner – Responsibility
  6. I will be an upstander - Responsibility

Each staff member will be given 7 GOTCHA cards (2 for each value - respect, responsibility, resilience and one upstander) and 15 burn bucks per week.  When acknowledging the expected behaviour – the staff member states the value, expected behaviour and then the positive reinforcement. For example – ‘Thanks Patricia for being Respectful (value) by following directions of all staff (expected behaviour)  – well done!!!! (positive reinforcement).'

  1.  GOTCHA Cards only given to focus behaviours

Learning Conversation- Follow Up

Just a reminder to our community that if a staff member was absent at Learning Conversations that you should have received a follow up phone call or email as a replacement. If you haven’t received either please reach out to that staff member.  If you need assistance, please let me know.

Uniform

Always a highlight of our school and always room for small improvement.  Remember black is not navy blue, if your child is out of uniform, please supply a note and definitely no hoodies.
