Term 3 Week 5

Music Update

Our Senior School have been practising their dances for our upcoming concert - Dreamweaver. Things are coming together and the routines are sticking a bit more as the weeks go on! For some students, performing on the stage is a huge step out of their comfort zone and they're doing a really great job at embracing something different for them - myself included!

The 3's and 4's have commenced learning the nostalgic recorder this week so I apologise in advance. The rule at our house is that it needs to be played outside after 9am AND louder does not always mean we sound better. This might be helpful to adopt in your house too should a recorder find it's way inside!

The 5's and 6's are exploring Kaboom Percussion, in particular bucket drumming and working together to create and play pieces in unison and listening to other's ideas and contributions.

By now you will have had access to purchase tickets for our school concert - Dreamweaver. Student's have been working really hard learning their dances across the school and would love to have a big audience to perform to.

If you/extended family can attend the 12pm matinee show we would love to see you there  to allow people who cannot make the matinee timeslot to attend the 6pm show.
