Jeans for Genes Fundraiser

Jeans for Genes Mufti

Dear Parents and Carers,

Once again, our school is participating in Jeans for Genes Day to support the Children's Medical Research Institute. This initiative raises crucial funds for treatments and cures for serious conditions affecting Australian children. On August 23rd, we will be holding our annual Jeans for Genes day Mufti as well as a "bake it blue" bake sale.

This fundraiser was started in memory of Pippi Graham, a student who fought bravely against leukemia before passing away in Year 9. Her friends organized the event to make a difference, and a plaque in the garden opposite the canteen honors her memory with the words: “Cherish her memory and let it live on.”

Since then, Kelley House has continued this tradition. Join us in supporting the vision Pippi’s friends had to help find a cure for diseases like leukemia, so kids can focus on being kids.

in 20 children face a birth defect or genetic disease, with over 6,000 different known genetic diseases. Most of these diseases are poorly understood and lack specific treatments or cures, highlighting the critical need for research.

Your donation will help fund essential research programs, enabling CMRI to develop more cures for Australian children more quickly.

Please consider supporting us in reaching our goal of $800.

Donations can be made easily online: Jeans for Genes Fundraising Page or scan the QR code below.

Thank you for your generous support.
