Welcome to Country / Smoking Ceremony

A reminder that all of our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, and their families, are invited you to a Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony which will be facilitated by Aunty Zeta Thomson. This will be at 5pm on Wednesday  4th September at Heathmont College. Aside from our families, we are expecting:

• Aunty Zeta Thomson - Aboriginal Elder
• Simone Thomson - artist
• Thomas Harrison - KESO
• Colleen Murdoch - Koorie Education Coordinator
• Vannessa Murdoch - EACH
• Blake and others - Mullum Mullum Indigenous Gathering Place
• Other Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students from network schools 

The Gathering Circle was designed by Aboriginal artist Simone Thomson - the same artist who has designed our Indigenous Garden & College Values. She also has recently designed our Indigenous House Designs.
