Lots of things happening with Sport and Physical Education lately at Sacred Heart!

Netball Championships Bendigo

Last Friday 2 teams from Sacred Heart travelled to Bendigo to participate in the Netball Victoria School Championships.

Sacred Heart students played with determination and perseverance all throughout the day. Although met with strong competition, all players should be proud of their efforts and skills.

The two teams played each other during the day and ended up in a well-played draw.

Special thanks to all the parents, helpers and staff who made this day possible.

School Sports Victoria Cricket Team Trials

Well done to Harry who has made it to the next round of the School Sports Victoria Cricket Team Trials. This will be happening in Bendigo and Melbourne towards the end of the month. A huge effort!

School Athletics fast approaching!

The Sacred Heart Athletics Day is not far away! (see poster)

Students are practising each of the events in their PE lessons.

A timetable and more details of the event will be sent out in the next newsletter.

Olympic Athlete letters

During PE last week, students from each grade picked an athlete from the Australian Olympic team and wrote them some questions about their sport and training. I have forwarded the letters onto them and have started to get some replies. Watch this space for more, including Grace Brown (cycling), Chloe Covell (skateboarding) and Ariarne Titmus (swimming).
