Wellbeing at Bimbadeen Heights: Celebrating Inclusion & Taking Action
At Bimbadeen Heights Primary School, we are committed to fostering a culture of kindness, respect, and responsibility. This coming week, we will recognise two important events that highlight the values of inclusion, compassion, and environmental care.
🌍 Zero Discrimination Day – 1st March
On 1st March, we celebrate Zero Discrimination Day, a global movement that promotes inclusion, peace, and equality for all. This day reminds us that everyone deserves to live with dignity and without discrimination, regardless of their background, abilities, or beliefs.
This year’s theme, “We stand together,” highlights the importance of unity in creating a more inclusive and supportive world. As a school, we encourage everyone to practice kindness, empathy, and respect—both in and out of the classroom. To learn more, visit: https://www.unaids.org/en/2025-zero-discrimination-day
🌱 Schools Clean Up Day – Friday, 28 February 2025
On Friday, 28 February, students and teachers will come together for Schools Clean Up Day, choosing a special area to clean—whether it’s our playground, a local park, or nearby bushland. This hands-on experience teaches the importance of caring for our environment, teamwork, and sustainability.
By picking up litter, reducing waste, and looking after our surroundings, we can make a real difference in keeping our community clean and green. To learn more about Clean Up Australia, visit: https://www.cleanup.org.au/about-us
We encourage families to continue these conversations at home. Whether it’s standing up for inclusion or caring for our environment, every small action contributes to a better world!
Thank you for supporting our students in becoming responsible and compassionate members of the community.
Warm regards,
Amanda Bailey
