News from Visual Art Studio classes

All our Visual Art extension classes are now underway on Thursday and Friday afterschool. Year 7 Visual Art Studio Foundation class is working with artist in residence Kathy Sullivan for three weeks of the program, introducing students to careful observation drawing. Their current unit ‘Observation and Realism’, introduces students to a variety of drawing mediums and papers, as well as carefully engaging with the subject matter presented. 

Visual Art Studio – Open Studio - on Friday afternoon allows students to work independently in areas of interest, expanding their skills and problem-solving ability. They have started planning in their media of choice and subject and will work over the next weeks to resolve their artwork.
