The Elite Volleyball Program recently hosted a highly successful camp with almost 150 students participating. Athletes had the opportunity to learn about performance optimisation, nutrition, and age-specific physiology tailored for teenage male and female athletes. The two-day format provided valuable exposure to both indoor and beach volleyball, with day one focused on indoor competition at school, followed by day two at Sandstorm Beach Club where students participated in insightful "why" workshops to deepen their understanding of their volleyball journey.
The program's growing reputation was evident in our recent trials, where over 35 The Gap State High School students participated in an internal trial for spots in the EVP. This impressive turnout demonstrates the excitement surrounding the opportunity to be part of our program and reflects the strong culture we continue to build.
With the postponement of the Queensland Beach Volleyball Schools Cup, our focus has shifted to preparing our athletes for the Australian Beach Volleyball Schools Cup. This prestigious event will take place from March 28th to 30th, giving our teams the chance to compete against schools from across the country. Our athletes are training diligently for this national competition, eager to showcase their skills on the beach volleyball stage.
Thank you!
