Student Achievements
Congratulations to Breeze Downey (Year 7) who earned Gold medals in the U14 Long Jump, High Jump and the 80m hurdles at the Tasmanian Track and Field Championships last weekend. This comes off Breeze recording new Mount Carmel College records at last week's Secondary Athletics Carnival in the Year 7 Long Jump and Year 7 High Jump events.
Fellow Year 7 student, Willow also participated in the Tasmanian Track and Field Championships last weekend, winning the U14 Hammer Throw, Javelin and Shot Put and placed 2nd in Discus. Willow also had a successful Secondary Athletics Carnival, setting a new record in the Year 7 Discus and narrowly missing the record in the Year 7 Javelin by a mere 0.22m! Congratulations Breeze and Willow.
