All students enrolled in a General Year 12 course and/or a Foundation Year 12 course are required to complete the Externally Set Task (EST) developed by the School Curriculum and Standards Authority (SCSA). The EST is compulsory, forms part of the school-based assessment and is included as a separate assessment type with a weighting of 15% for the pair of units.
The ESTs are assessment tasks which SCSA develop and distribute to schools for administering to students for each Year 12 General and Foundation course. The ESTs are administered in schools under test conditions on designated days between Monday, 12 May and Friday, 30 May.
The College’s 2025 EST schedule is currently under review and will be published to students as soon as it is finalised. Further information about the ESTs can be found on the SCSA website. Please contact the College if you have any questions regarding these important assessments.
As part of our ongoing efforts to keep parents and students informed and involved, PDF versions of our Year Group Assemblies are now conveniently accessible through the 'Documents' section of SEQTA Engage. This means that both parents and students can easily refer to the content covered in these assemblies at any time. Whether you want to revisit important announcements, catch up on discussions about upcoming events, or simply stay updated on student related initiatives, these PDF versions provide a valuable resource.
Students can determine whether they're on track to achieve the WACE in Year 12 using the WACE Checker.
https://wacechecker.scsa.wa.edu.au/
Using the above link, students in Year 12 can enter their course achievement (including VET certificates and endorsed programs) from Year 11, as well as their predicted grades for Year 12 courses and track their progress towards the WACE.

The College hosted a wonderful Open Day two weeks ago with large numbers of visitors, who thoroughly enjoyed their visit. It is a day when we proudly show how our College operates on a normal day with tours led by students from different year groups. We received positive feedback about the classes observed and glowing reports about our friendly and knowledgeable student tour guides. Thank you to our staff and students who assisted and contributed towards this successful event by living out our College motto ‘Prepared for All Good Works’. As we have healthy enrolments in all year levels and a waiting list, it is vital that enrolment forms are submitted as soon as possible and prior to the end of Year 4.
Our Parent Committee is a group of parents who come together to provide opportunities for fellow parents to meet one another and participate in the life of the College. It’s not about fundraising, but what can be done to support students and bring parents together.
The Parent Committee continue to organise wonderful events, such as the Mother’s Day Breakfast (Wednesday 7 May – Check emails and Direqt messages in last 2 weeks of this term for details) and Father Day Breakfast (Thursday 4 September). They have organised an upcoming Parent Dinner for Year 7 Parents on the night of the Year 7 Social Event (Thursday 21 March – See flyer for details), which is a great opportunity for parents to meet and catch up. The Parent Committee also organise informative seminars for parents and would like to have input and ideas about future seminars. This year, seminars include presentations by Headspace (Mental Health – How to seek support on Wednesday 21 March – See flyer for details), Community Police (Managing Online Behaviour on Wednesday 11 June) and Paul Litherland (Surf Online Safe on Wednesday 3 December).
The Parent Committee meets twice a term with the next meeting on Wednesday 31 April at 6.00pm. So we call on you and invite you to join the Parent Committee. If interested and, or you have any queries, click on the QR Code or link below.
