Good afternoon families,
I hope you all had a good week and are now preparing for the footy season to start and the weather to slowly change.
This year, Lent begins on March 5 and ends on April 17. Lent is 40 days long to represent the 40 days that Jesus spent fasting and praying in the desert before starting his own ministry.
The three traditional pillars of Lent are prayer, fasting and almsgiving. Through the three pillars of Lent we journey to develop a closer relationship to God. The 40 days of Lent should be filled with reflection, service and prayer.
On Wednesday ( Ash Wednesday) the students from Years 4 - 6 will attend mass at 12 pm. Parents are welcome.
Preps begin full time school this week.
Carpark and safety for our whole community.
The gates open at 2.50pm at the end of each school day. Please do not arrive too early to queue up in the local streets as it is blocking the street for residents.
Please do not park in the Drop and Go area, if you are walking your child/ren into class, then you need to park in the centre carparks.
Please do not cut through the carpark as you exit. You need to go all the way around the carpark to exit legally and safely.
Please make sure your children are safely seated in your car, as last week I was sent a photo of a parent leaving the school with their child standing on the seat and part of their body was out the top of the sun roof.
