March 21 is Australia’s Harmony Day, which celebrates the country’s cultural diversity. It coincides with the United Nations’ International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.
Harmony Day is an Australian Government program that centres on the message that “Everyone belongs”, reinforcing the importance of inclusiveness to all Australians, some people choose to wear the colour orange to connect with this further.
As we celebrate Harmony Day which every year is on the 21st of March, please take some time to appreciate the things that we get to enjoy daily that our cultural diversity here in Australia offers.
We really are the lucky country.
