LUNCHTIME CHESS CLUB

Chess Club began on Monday in the library (and will be every Monday lunchtime).  It is open to experienced players and new players. Everyone has a chance to play some chess and hone their skills. In addition to regular chess matches, this year we will also run optional workshops to build player skills. 

In Term 1, these will look at the basic rules and how pieces move, so that more people can learn to play. 

In Term 2 and beyond, these will expand to strategies and tactics. There are also opportunities for inter-school chess competitions for anyone who may be interested!
