Harmony Day
Harmony Week is a celebration that recognises our diversity and brings together Australians from all different backgrounds. It’s about inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone.
At Miners Rest Primary School, we will celebrate Harmony Day on Friday the 21st of March. This will be a day where students are given the opportunity to reflect on and celebrate different cultures within our community. Classes will pair up with their Social Squad Buddies to collaborate on a task together during the day.
Students are encouraged to wear orange on the day and to bring a gold coin donation. Money raised will go towards the development of an Indigenous-inspired outdoor space in the front garden area of the Millie Building.
