Well done to Maddie, Ella, Adelphe and Charlotte who competed in the open medley at the Banyule Division swimming championship finishing third in their race.
Charlotte also completed in the individual 50m freestyle and butterfly, finishing second and first respectively. This is a huge achievement and means that she progresses to the Regional finals next week. Well done Charlotte!
The IPS AFL Girl’s Team have been training hard through February and were primed for game day at Chelsworth Park on Friday 7th March.
The first game against Buckley House was pretty even but we ended up having the upper hand and winning 13-18 points.
Our second game was up against St Anthony's. We fought hard and Ella kicked our solitary goal in the second half. They won 16-6 points.
In the third game we were taking on St John's and we lost 35-7. St Johns went on to win the Grand Final convincingly.
In our last match, we were up against Ivanhoe Girls' Grammar and dominated with a 39-0 points.
Overall, our team had a wonderful time and played with great sportsmanship and teamwork. Here’s some quotes from our players from game day:
Natalie- “Be aggressive.”
Dania - “We had a lot of fun.”
Mariam - “Strike first, Strike Hard, No Mercy…”
Adelphe- “Always try your best and support your team no matter what.”
Noosh - “It was good we won 2 out of 4 games. I also really liked working with my teammates.”

Amelia - “I loved having this experience and My team.”
Poppy - “Run fast, try hard, there is no going back, when you have the ball, you are enough.”
Charlotte - “It was not about winning its about teamwork.”
Abigail - “We all tried our hardest and that's what matters the most.”
Rondelle - “It was an amazing opportunity to play and i love my team.”
Jasmine - “We did well and i enjoyed it.”
