Dear Parents/Guardians,

Congratulations Riley!

A huge well done to Riley who was our only representative at the Regional swimming carnival last week. Riley finished 3rd. What an amazing effort.

Harmony Week - dress up day

Harmony week is about celebrating inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for all Australians, from the traditional custodians of the land to those who have come from many countries around the world.

We will be recognizing Harmony week next Friday 21st, by asking students to wear 'a touch of orange' (Traditionally, orange signifies social communication and meaningful conversations. It also relates to the freedom of ideas and encouragement of mutual respect), orwear traditional dress from their home country.  We will also run activities in the classroom and all come together as a whole school at 1pm for food tasting and minor games. Please let your child's teacher or the office know if you do not want your child to take part in the food tastings.

NAPLAN

The National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) 2024 for Grades 3 and 5, is well underway. The writing test was on Wednesday, and the reading test today. Only the Language Conventions and Numeracy test to go.

New Playground Open

Today the students were able to enjoy the new playground for first time. Check out the smiles.

Student Progress reports

In an effort to keep families informed and up to date we will once again provide progress reports at the end of this term. This will give you a snapshot of your child’s progress and achievements this term. These will be available on Thursday 3rd April on XUNO. Please contact the office if you require a hardcopy.

Parent Teacher Interviews

Our first Parent teacher interview will be held on Tuesday 6th May. Bookings will be available via XUNO early next term.  Please do not wait until the interviews if you have any concerns or questions. It is best to contact your child's teacher or the office as soon as possible.
