Soccer Division Competition

On Wednesday the 29th of July, 12 Year 6 students went to Jack Edwards Reserve in Oakleigh to play against other schools at the top of the ladder for their area. 

Despite the freezing cold rain, the WHPS soccer team won their first game 6-0, won their second game 2-0, then drew their third game 0-0. This put WHPS into the semi-finals, where we faced even tougher competition. In the end, it all came down to penalty shootouts. 

WHPS Soccer A team ended up finishing 4th overall, out of all the schools from 4 different divisions. This was an incredible achievement, as WHPS hasn’t been to the division competition for soccer before. 

Well done on your resilience during the chaotic weather, and for ending the day with smiles on your faces.
