Production Update
Production week here we come! Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, theys and thems, it’s time. All the incredible hard work of each member of the Rock of Ages cast, crew and creative team is finally coming to fruition. It’s certainly been a long time coming, but now comes the fun part: the shows! For those who’ve bought tickets, you’re in for a treat. This show is the combination of so many people’s passion, creativity and effort and I speak for my fellow cast members when I say we are so very proud of what we’ve created.
For those who haven’t got tickets yet, there are still some available! The shows are Thursday the 20th and Friday the 21st, and well as a matinee on Saturday the 22nd! We hope to see many of you there!

Year 9 Captain's Report
For the last couple of weeks, the Year 8s, 9s and 10s have been thinking about and submitting their subject choices for next year. The Year 8s and 9s had a huge list of subjects to choose from, from categories like Communicate and Relate and Our World.
The Year 9s had a special opportunity to do a VCE subject early in Year 10. Personally, I chose Media because I enjoyed doing Be a Filmmaker this year, and I am interested in learning more about how movies are made and the process of doing so. Most of my friends also chose to do a VCE subject because it would help prepare us for Year 11 and 12.
To help us with our subject choices, we spoke to our GOAL Mentors, parents and even some Year 12s to get some advice and guidance.
As for the Year 10s, they had to choose all their VCE subjects for Year 11 and 12. The could choose six subjects from all of the VCE offerings.
All in all, it has been an exciting couple of weeks. The Year 8s, 9s and 10s all had big decisions to make regarding their futures, and I hope that everyone enjoys whatever subjects they get allocated next year.

Bullying No Way: National Week of Action
With this week being the Bullying No Way: National Week of Action, we wanted to remind everyone why bullying is still an important issue to talk about. Bullying can come in many different forms, whether online or in person. No matter how it occurs, its impact remains.
School deserves to be a safe place for young people to express themselves without fear of judgement or criticism from their peers. Bullying has very real impacts on both mental and physical health and should never be disregarded, as this is how it begins to snowball and become a more serious issue.
So, this week you should check in on your friends to see how they are doing and help support them if someone is giving them a rough time. Remember, school should be a safe place for everyone and if you ever feel unsafe, tell a trusted adult or the Wellbeing Team.
