¡Hola Familias!

Last Monday, at the Spanish Club, we had an “Electrifying Experience” with the enthusiastic participation of young scientists and their families. The workshop focused on teaching about electrical circuits and differentiating between conductive and non-conductive materials. Together with their parents, children worked to test everyday classroom items, such as scissors, paper clips, erasers, and more, to practically reinforce the concepts of conductors and insulators.

The highlight was the Conductive Pencil Activity. Using graphite pencils and a sheet of paper, children drew lines of varying lengths and thicknesses to complete an electrical circuit. Although the LEDs didn't light up, the experiment worked when the graphite lines were connected to a buzzer and an electric motor. This demonstrated that the graphite completed the circuit and highlights the importance of creative thinking in science.

Thank you to all the families for making this an electrifying and memorable experience!
