Careers & Pathways
Senior School Years 9 -12
Mon 25 - Fri 29 May 2026
As we look ahead to next year, we would like to share some important information about Work Experience, which is a key component of our Year 10 Careers Education Program.
Work Experience is a short-term placement where students spend time with an employer to gain first-hand insights into a workplace and industry. This opportunity allows students to:
develop employability skills
explore possible career options
understand employer expectations
build independence, confidence, and self-understanding
Participation in Work Experience is also a requirement for some Year 11/12 pathways, including VCE VM. More information on this will be provided next year.
Our 2026 Work Experience Program will run in Week 6 of Term 2 (25 May – 29 May). We are sharing details now to ensure students and families have plenty of time to start looking for a suitable placement, as securing one can sometimes take time.
Over the next couple of weeks, students will complete activities in Explore to support them in beginning their search for a placement. They will also receive a copy of the Work Experience Arrangement Forms during the Year 9 into 10 Transition Day, later this term.
