On Friday, we swam our hearts out at the 2025 St Louis Swimming Carnival.  Our Years 3 to 5 competed in freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, relays and novelty events.  The swimming abilities were very diverse from junior Thorpies to sinkers.  But that didn't matter.  We just love watching the kids have a go.   We now have results and times that will shape our District team.  

We have many talented swimmers and it a sight to see them glide through the water.  They were the ones wearing the ribbons at the end of the day.  But I would like to mention Tom J and Connor Q.  We needed 2 swimmers to fill in spots and there weren't too many volunteers.  But these two did.  They thrashed their bodies up the end of the pool so their team did not have to forfeit.  Thank you lads.

Our Spirit Captains (pictured above) were fantastic on the day.  They rallied the spectators into a frenzy and got the swimmers to their races.  They have been a great bunch this year. 

Thank you to the teachers, LSOs and especially Emma and Carmel on the scorers table.  The results came in thick and fast, and that allows more swims for everyone.  A successful day all round!

And the winner of the 2025 St Louis Swimming Carnival  .....will be announced at assembly on Monday
