Budgeting & Finance
Budgeting & Finance PBL
💰 Years 6-9 students in the Budgeting and Finance PBL class completed a project requiring them to plan and execute a Christmas recipe on a strict budget. Working in groups, they researched recipes and ingredient costs, created a budget, made shopping lists, and independently purchased the groceries at Coles. This hands-on experience in practical grocery shopping taught them valuable real-world finance and budgeting skills.
Christmas baking by the Budgeting and Finance class was a success today. Two weeks of careful planning ensured all ingredients were purchased within budget, turning the project into a valuable, hands-on lesson in finance and cooking. The teachers loved the delicious treats!
Year 6-10 PBL
Our Year 6-10 students have truly shone this fortnight, bringing their Project-Based Learning (PBL) to life through the exciting world of Drama! Using a series of fun and challenging improvisation exercises, students collaborated to create their own short scenes. It was incredible to see their creativity flourish as they incorporated costumes and props to bring their characters and narratives to the stage.
Before their final performances, the students even mastered the art of a professional drama warmup, a fantastic skill for any performer! I was so proud as they took turns sharing their scenes with each other. Stepping out of your comfort zone in front of peers takes enormous courage and confidence, and the level of skill and commitment they displayed was outstanding. The students have built not only dramatic ability but also invaluable communication and collaboration skills. Well done to all the performers!

VET Students
NESA provides students the ability to generate their VET qualification(s) (Certificate or Statement of Attainment) on behalf of schools.
Students can download and print their VET certificate as a PDF from Students Online until 30 June the year after they studied the VET course.
A USI must be entered for the student to access and download the VET credential. Students Online is also used by students to view their HSC results.
To do this students log in to https://studentsonline.nesa.nsw.edu.au/go/login/ with their student number and PIN, then go to the Certificates/eRecord section to download their VET Certificate or Statement of Attainment.
For students who studied the VET course in 2025, this will be available until 30 June 2026. Note that 2025 Year 12 students or students who are not continuing at school in 2026 will also lose their access to Students Online on 30 June 2026.
