Kindergarten Excursion
Today (Tuesday 2nd December) Kindergarten went on a bus to the Historical Society Museum. We looked at lots of things like an old washing machine; it was cool but it would be hard work. I'd be so strong if I had to use that. We got to pretend we were buying rice in an old shop just like Mary (Brand) did. We saw lots of old photos including our school and church in 1920 and books so old they were falling apart!
Then we ate recess in the sun and got back on the bus to head to Pringy's farm (Balnagask). Col and Belinda took us all around the farm. We got to feed and pat the mini ponies. We also saw goats, cows, dogs, a guinea pig, a bunny and chooks. There was a donkey...but he didn't like us much. Neither did the cat!
We had an awesome day...some people even fell asleep on the bus!
Year 4 Parent Assembly & Classroom Visit
On Friday 21st November, Year 4 students eagerly welcomed their parents and carers into the classroom, showing them their impressive digital tech skills. Students explained how to code a Scratch character and control their character using a Makey Makey- how clever. Afterwards, everyone moved to the hall for assembly. The combination of classroom engagement and the assembly made the entire visit a terrific success for the families and children.
Year 5 Lake Keepit Excursion
Year 5 absolutely conquered the four-day adventure at Lake Keepit Sport and Recreation Centre during Term 4, Week 6! It was an exhilarating camp packed with opportunities to push personal boundaries while forging essential teamwork and leadership skills. After days of fun in the sun, the unanimous highlight was undoubtedly the epic, heart-pumping mud run and the nostalgia-fueled, old-school slip 'n' slide!
