Weekly Highlights - Term 4 Week 9
Ho Ho Ho! It's Christmas.
Welcome to our week 9 recap for Lalor East TheirCare. This week we continued to work on Christmas creations and Lego sculptures. It has been an amazing week, children enjoy sharing their ideas of creating new ornament's for our Christmas Tree.
Puzzle, Snap, Spotted and Gym run for fun competition have been one of the favourite learning experiences this week, it is interesting to see children’s completable side while play. Competitive play also carries an equally important set of life skills. Competition can be great for focus, creativity, growth mindset, motivation,coping strategies, resilience, and perseverance. In many cases, it doesn’t have to be the one or the other because competitive play overlaps with cooperative play. Competitive games promote cooperation because children must adhere to a set of rules and empathise with other children’s perspectives.

Tis the Season to be Jolly
Welcome to our week 10 recap for Lalor East TheirCare. This week we continued to work on Christmas creations, science experiments as children made fluffy slime and explored our outdoor and gym environment. It has been an amazing week, children enjoy sharing their ideas of creating new ornament's for our Christmas Tree. Puzzle, Snap, Spotted and Gym run for fun competition have been one of the favourite learning experiences this week, it is interesting to see children’s competitive side while play.
We have one more week till end of this 2025 school year and next week will be our party week, children will be participating in many fun activities like our Dance party, cooking club, our end of the year celebration party where will be enjoying our delicious afternoon tea and celebrating our achievements. Lalor East TheirCare would also like to say goodbye to our grade 6 children and wish them all best in their new journey as a high school students.
Reminders:
Lalor East TheirCare also follows Sun Smart and as of 1 September, we encourage children when going outside to place suncream and sunhats.
Please make sure your child have a hat in their bag for when attending our session.
If your child requires special sunscreen please let the staff know, as we only carry 50+ homebrand.
Parents are required to get their child/ren warmer jackets as we encourage and support indoor/outdoor play.
It would be amazing to have families share any recipes with us as we are starting with our Cooking club as of next week
