3/4 Excursion to Quantum Victoria

The excursion was a fun way to finish the year on the right scientific note, with students having the best day learning through a range of exciting experiments.
Year 3–4 students discovered the wonder of science through a series of hands-on workshops, rotating through the Science of Slime, Air, Chemical Testing, and Magnetic Forces. Curiosity, creativity, and scientific thinking were on full display!
The absolute highlight of the day was making their own slime! Parents and guardians, brace yourselves — you may be living with certified slime-making experts these holidays.
You’ll no doubt be impressed by their skills… and we’re keeping our fingers crossed that these slime geniuses remember to clean up their masterpieces afterwards!
Our Quantum Excursion by Hana 34A
On the December 4, 34A and 34B went to Quantum Victoria. We went on the bus and the first thing we did when got there, was put our things away and put our very white lab costs on.
We all entered the theatre and the Quantum staff explained the 4 activities we would be doing - science of slime, adminstration of acids, wacky water and majestic magnets. They split 34A and 34B into groups, and we started.
34A started with Wacky Water, then the magnets and slime then acids. All of the activities were super fun, but then there was a SURPRISE... Elephant Toothpaste!
Before, we left they gave us a huge surprise. They poured in some acid into a container (with yeast/water), and BAM! Elephant Toothpaste! We drove back to school.
It's safe to say, the day was AMAZING!
