Highlights from Heights

This week we celebrated a fantastic day at our House Cross Country on Monday. It was wonderful to see all students getting involved, challenging themselves, and supporting one another throughout the event.

Our junior students enjoyed running around the oval, with plenty of smiles, enthusiasm, and encouragement on display. It was terrific to see students giving their best effort and having fun while being active together.

The senior students took on the course at Warner Reserve, showing outstanding persistence and determination over the longer distance. One of the highlights of the day was the strong sense of teamwork and house spirit, as students cheered each other on and celebrated everyone’s achievements. Events such as Cross Country are  important as they help students build resilience, confidence, teamwork, and healthy habits, while also strengthening friendships and school connection.

Running Club has once again started before school in the mornings. Students are encouraged to come along, enjoy the music, and either walk or run laps around the oval before the school day begins. It is a great way to start the morning feeling active, energised, and ready for learning.

Being active outside of school is also incredibly important for both physical and mental wellbeing. Whether it is riding a bike, going for a walk, playing sport, or simply spending time outdoors with family and friends, regular activity helps students stay healthy, focused, and happy.

It has also been pleasing to see students continuing to work hard in their classrooms. Across the school, students are demonstrating persistence in their learning, striving to do their best, and showing pride in their efforts. We encourage all students to continue challenging themselves and making the most of every learning opportunity.
