Kids Helpline in the Spotlight!
The Kids Helpline website is a valuable resource to ot for parents seeking support for their child’s mental health and wellbeing. It provides reliable, easy-to-understand information on a range of topics including anxiety, behaviour, friendships and family challenges. Parents can access practical strategies to support their child at home, as well as information about when and how to seek additional help. The site also offers free, confidential counselling services for young people, giving families another avenue of support when needed.
Based on the data from our Parent Survey of Student Mental Health, the topics most asked for more information on were managing anxiety and coping strategies. Please see links to two articles on this website that you might find useful. It is worth exploring this site further with your child as well.
