From the Year Prep Classroom

What a busy and fabulous Term 3 it has been in Prep! We are so proud of all the learning, achievements, and memories our students have made together this term.

One of the biggest milestones was celebrating 100 Days of Learning! The children had so much fun dressing up as if they were 100 years old, and we reflected on just how much we have grown since the start of the year.

We also had our very first Athletics Carnival last week, where the Prep students amazed us with their enthusiasm, team spirit, and determination. It was wonderful to see everyone having a go, cheering for their friends, and proudly wearing their house colours.

Another highlight was the Book Week Parade. Our Preps looked fantastic in their creative costumes, and it was lovely to see their love of stories and characters come to life.

Of course, in between these special events, there has been plenty of exciting classroom learning. From building confidence in reading and writing, to exploring numbers and problem-solving in maths, our Preps have been developing important skills each and every day. We are seeing such amazing growth in their independence, curiosity, and creativity.

We headed off on our first “BIG” excursion to Billabong Ranch today which wrapped upour inquiry learning of ‘Old and New’. No doubt there will be lots of stories and fun about the Billabong Ranch shared with you tonight.

It’s been a joyful and rewarding term, filled with many ‘firsts’ for our prep learners.
