Accidently Wes Anderson
Our Year 9 Enhancement students have been exploring the art of visual storytelling through the acclaimed director Wes Anderson's unique cinematic style. After studying his film Moonrise Kingdom, they took on the creative challenge of recreating Anderson's distinctive aesthetic through their own photography projects.
From the halls and grounds of MGSC to locations around their neighbourhoods, students have captured images showcasing his trademark symmetry, vintage colour palettes, and whimsical storytelling elements. These student works demonstrate not only creativity and technical skill, but also a deep understanding of how visual language enhances literary narrative. The results are truly impressive.

France comes to us
Since Term 2, we have been fortunate to have a French Language Assistant working with our students for two days a week. Manon Carpentier is from France and will be here until the end of the school year. She is mainly working with the VCE French students helping them to practise their conversational skills in preparation for the Oral Exam at the end of Year 12. But she enjoys coming into the junior classes whenever she can!
The students of 7A have been asking her lots of questions to create some profiles about Manon -
To Market to Market
Unit 1 & 2 Business Studies presented an impressive understanding of their subject at e Market Day last week.
The event was the result of strategies to create a business - research, product development, promotion, price point and delivery. The market wanted sweet and savory treats and that's what they got! A sure sign of success...long lines and sold out signs.
Well done to the students and their teachers Freda Gatsios and Kathy Wu for bringing the Business Management to an appreciative market.
