Body Kind Week Community Project
As part of the VCE Vocational Major program, students this year worked collaboratively on their Community Project, choosing to focus on the important issue of mental health. Linking with Body Kind Week, the project aimed to raise awareness around strategies for maintaining a healthy mind and, in turn, a healthy body.
Students designed and facilitated a series of engaging activities that encouraged connection, creativity, and fun. Activities included slime making, Just Dance sessions, bracelet making, and a lively game of dodgeball. A sausage sizzle was also held, with funds raised donated to the R U OK? Foundation, supporting its mission to encourage meaningful conversations and promote mental wellbeing.
This project not only gave students the chance to develop their leadership, teamwork, and organisational skills, but also highlighted the value of contributing positively to the school community. The Vocational Major students should be commended for their initiative, effort, and commitment to raising awareness of such an important issue.
