Lilly Trevithick Rotary Public Speaking Competition Club Final 2025

On Tuesday 26th August, Yr 10 student Lilly Trevithick competed in the club final of the Rotary Public Speaking Competition for Inverell East Rotary Club.

She had to present a 2 minute impromptu speech on ‘Social Media connects us – or divides us’ in addition to a 5 minute prepared speech ‘Bridging the Divide’. The prepared speech must address Rotary’s 4 way test – is it the truth? Isit fair to all concerned? Will it build goodwill and better friendships? Will it be beneficial to all concerned?

Lilly was crowned the winner of the Club final and now progresses to the next round of the competition, being held in Armidale on Sunday 21st September.

We wish Lilly all the best in this competition!
