YEAR 7 2026 TRANSITION

On Thursday 4th September we hosted our ½ Day Year 6 into Year 7 (2026) Transition, welcoming students from schools right across our local area. The day was all about giving them a taste of high school life, building confidence, and enjoying a range of fun, supportive activities.

A huge thank you to our amazing Year 10 Peer Support students for guiding and supporting the Year 6s, and to Ms Harrington, our Year 7 Adviser for 2026, for her leadership.

From problem-solving strategy games in Mathematics, to “mad science” experiments, school tours, meeting future classmates, and fun ‘get to know me’ activities — it was a fantastic morning!

We hope all our future Year 7s felt at home and are excited for this new chapter ahead.

We can’t wait to welcome you back for the full-day transition in Term 4!

Team Teaching at  Ross Hill Public School

Monday 8th September was a very exciting part of our Year 6 Transition Program!

Our future Year 7s from Ross Hill Public School took part in a History Mystery lesson co-taught and prepared by Mrs Lyell (AP Curriculum & Instruction, Ross Hill Public School) and Ms Harrington (Inverell High School's 2026 Year 7 Adviser). Both teachers brought their own flair to the classroom, making the session engaging and inspiring.

It was fantastic to see students’ curiosity, confidence, and potential shining through as they explored new learning opportunities. We are so proud of the way they are stepping into high school life!
