Acting Principal Update

Tomorrow promises to be a busy and exciting day! We’re looking forward to welcoming lots of Dads and special people to join us for our Father’s Day Fun Day.

Parent Opinion Survey

Thank you to everyone who has already taken the time to complete our parent survey. Father’s Day Stall

Tomorrow, we will be holding the Father’s Day Stall which will be held from 9:15am. Gifts range in price from $1.50 - $15.00, so please send along some money with your child in either a labelled purse/wallet or zip lock bag. We would also love some parent volunteers to help run the stall, so if you’re available, please let Kate know, or simply arrive at 9:00am to lend a hand.

Father’s Day Fun Day!

To all our wonderful Dads and special people, we’d love for you to join us tomorrow afternoon for a classroom activity followed by some games on the oval. The fun will begin at 2:00pm and wrap up around 3:00pm, just before the working bee begins (no obligation to stay!). We can’t wait to see you there, and don’t forget to wear your runners!

Production – One week to go!

Our students and staff are putting the finishing touches on this year’s school production, and the excitement is building! Tomorrow, we will be holding a full dress rehearsal. Please make sure your child brings their costume to school in a clearly labelled bag. Anne has also shared some important updates about the production so please see the attached notice for all the details.

School Values

Over the past two weeks, our students and staff have been exploring and discussing the values that matter most to our school community. Each class has selected their top five values and created statements to represent them.  Now we’d love to hear from you! Your input is an important part of this process. Please take a moment to complete a short Google Form to share your top five values: School Values

Our goal is to re-establish strong, shared values that guide everything we do at Menzies Creek Primary School; values that are clearly understood and embraced by our entire school community.

Working Bee

Tomorrow we’ll be holding our school working bee, and we’d love your help to tick off a number of important jobs, including:

  • High-pressure hosing the senior deck
  • Clearing paths of leaves and sticks
  • Topping up and tidying the sandpits
  • Weeding and mulching garden beds
  • Whipper snipping
  • Repairing the sleeper retaining wall and reattaching the sleeper topper
  • Cleaning and readjusting enrolment signs on the fence
  • Tidying gardens near the portables
  • Bundling sticks and stacking small pieces of timber
  • Clearing drains of debris
  • Blowing debris from the green space and paths

It’s quite a list, but many hands make light work! Any amount of time you can spare between 3:00pm and 5:00pm will be greatly appreciated. We’ll finish the afternoon with a sausage sizzle, a chance to relax and enjoy each other’s company as we head into the weekend. Don’t forget to bring your tools. We look forward to seeing you there!

Assembly

Due to the many activities, tomorrow’s assembly will be cancelled
