What's Happening in

Visual Arts?

At Mackellar Primary School term 3 has seen the launch of the second  Visual Art competition, where all students had an opportunity to create an artwork based around Science, Geography, History and Family. In the later part of this term, students’ artworks have been focused on their knowledge and application of the colour theory, line and making marks on a page to create an artwork.

Grade preps have been making rainbows, the grade 2’s made a colour wheel flower.

Our grade 1’s blended and smudged warm and cool colours with oil pastels, then presented them to an audience, whilst the grade 3’s designed cool and warm colours using water colour pencil.
