Parent Teacher Student Conferences
Parent Teacher Student Conferences will take place online via Webex on Tuesday October 14th (Week 2 of Term 4). Bookings will close on Tuesday October 7th at 3:00pm.
These conferences are a valuable opportunity to meet with your child’s teachers and reflect on their learning growth across the previous term. Students are invited to take an active role in these conversations, and use the opportunity for additional feedback on how to progress towards their learning goals.
If you are unable to book a preferred time with a teacher, please reach out to them via email. As always, we welcome the opportunity to discuss ways to support student success in whichever format is available.
Please note, that PTSC Day (October 14th) is a student-free day for all Year 7-11 students, as well as Year 12 VCE:VM and non-scored students. No classes will be running on this day.
However, with end of year exams approaching, Year 12 VCE scored students will maintain their normal class schedule to best prepare them for the challenges ahead.
This means that some of our VCE teachers will not be available for PTSC sessions throughout the day. Please reach out to these teachers via email if you are unable to book a time.
If you require any assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact our front office team for support.
Links will be published a few days before the conferences. We look forward to speaking with you online.
Professional Learning
Our Term 3 Professional Learning focus on Thinking Aloud to demonstrate the metacognitive practices that occur as part of skills and knowledge sharing culminated in our end of term celebration. Teaching staff were able to reflect on and share the learning they undertook, refinements made to their practices, and consider the positive impact these adjustments have made within their classrooms. Engaging in ongoing learning, alongside our students and sometimes bringing them along with us, ensures that we are constantly seeking to improve our practice and be the best teachers we can be for our students. I look forward to building on this work and further refining the work in evidence-based practices next year.
VCE Exams
As we near the end of Term 3, many of our senior students will be busily preparing for the end of year exams. These exams are critical for their success and reflect the past years of hard work and determination that have gone into their education. I encourage these students to have a very focused and productive study period in the lead up to these exams and wish them all the very best with this enormous and daunting task.
