As Term 4 approaches, the VCAA examinations are now just around the corner. This is both an exciting and challenging time for our Year 12 and Year 11 ALP students as they prepare to showcase their hard work and learning from the past two years.
The upcoming school holidays are an important opportunity to revise thoroughly and consolidate knowledge. Students are encouraged to create a realistic revision plan, use past exams, and connect with teachers if they need guidance. Consistent preparation during this time is integral to success in the exams.
At the same time, it’s equally important that students take care of themselves. Adequate sleep, regular exercise, healthy meals, and time to relax with family and friends all help to maintain focus and reduce stress. Striking a balance between revision and self-care will allow students to walk into their exams with confidence and clarity.
Students have received their exam timetables in print and VCAA timetable formats.
Families can support by encouraging a steady routine, providing a calm environment for study, and reminding students that it’s not about doing everything but about doing their best.
Students learnt about productive study habits in a recent seminar and it was highlighted that regular breaks, studying to tasks and not time and ensuring that wellbeing is prioritised to decrease stress are all integral to success.
We are proud of the dedication our Year 12 VCE students have shown throughout the year and we wish them every success in the exam period ahead.
