Term 3 Wrap-Up

Term 3 is almost done and dusted, and what a fantastic Term it has been for our Year 11 students!

I’ve noticed a real improvement in uniform this term, with students showing greater pride in wearing the Woodmans Hill Secondary College uniform—something that’s been really pleasing to see.

Although this term has been short, it’s been packed with activities and highlights. One standout was our Book Week Dress-Up Day, where Year 11 students went all out to dress as their favourite book characters. It was fabulous to walk around, see the creativity on display, and watch students having fun.

Egg Baby Challenge – Health & Human Development

Our Year 11 Health and Human Development students recently completed their unit on parenting and lifespan stages with the much-anticipated Egg Baby Challenge

For one week, students became the proud “parents” of their very own egg babies. It was an eventful week that saw teachers and parents recruited as babysitters, egg babies dressed up with bows and outfits, and—unfortunately—a few tragic “egg deaths” along the way.

Despite the challenges, students embraced the task with enthusiasm, creativity, and a great sense of humour. The presentations at the end of the week were a joy to watch, and it was wonderful to see the effort students put into caring for (and celebrating) their egg babies.

I’ve shared a few photos in this newsletter to showcase the fun and creativity from the week.

Looking ahead to Term 4 the Year 11 students have a Step Up Camp to Roses Gap (Thursday 27th- Friday 28th November) parents are asked to look out for the information on Compass in the first few weeks of Term 4.

I look forward to a well-deserved break, with hopefully a little sunshine along the way! I can’t wait to be back with everyone for an exciting Term 4.
