Principal's Report

Steven Sirrals - Acting

As Term 3 comes to a close, I’d like to express my gratitude for the remarkable commitment shown by our students, staff, and the broader school community. This term has been full of meaningful progress and accomplishments, and I’m genuinely impressed by the effort everyone has contributed.

Our senior VCE scored students are racing towards exams and this holiday period offers them a chance to find the best balance between relaxing and switching off and revising for their important exams, which will greatly influence their ATAR scores. Thank you to the staff who will be attending on the holidays to support the VCE Practice Exam Program for these students.

Our student leaders will finish the term by having our first Colour Run, raising money for the school. Their work with Kate Willmott is far reaching in the school and they continuously plan and coordinate a range of activities that are assessable to the wide cohort at Woodmans Hill Secondary College.

We have had a range of students represent the school this term, particularly in sports. As I write this, we have a team of students competing in Melbourne at a State level for badminton. Well done to all the students who attend these events, sport and non-sport, and demonstrate our school values to the community.

Building Program Update

The building program continues. The Year 7 centre now has a roof and bricks are being laid. The Senior school amenities are to be finished before students return in Term 4. The framing for the Senior school study space is being assembled and will be finished later this year.

I hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable holiday. Students commence Term 4 on Monday 6th October.
