F/1 Inquiry

The F/1 students are using their creativity this term in Inquiry, with a focus on Fairy Tales. To get their minds into 'creation-mode', they were asked to make anything they wanted, as long as they used materials other than pencils.  There was some very interesting pieces and lots of fun and mess!

Kaboom Sports

We had a fabulous day at Ky P-12 for the Kaboom Sports day.  It was great to see all students trying the activities and working together.  The students rotated through 12 activities such as a frisbee toss, circus tricks, fruit stomp and a marble run.  The children are to be congratulated on their perfect behaviour and their 'have a go' attitude.  They were truly fantastic ambassadors for our school.

Grade 2

What a great two weeks we have had!

In Maths we have been exploring measurement. Students have had to measure objects for length and weight using informal and formal units. Noggle has become a popular warm up game recently. It has been amazing to see the equations students have been coming up with.

During Inquiry lessons we have been investigating how computers, games and robots are programmed. Students got to put their own creative hats on and created their own game/movie using the program Scratch Jr.

We have had lots of fun at the Aged Care! Halloween activities and students showed the residents how we use iPads in the classroom.

Yesterday we went to Kyabram for Kaboom sports. It was great to see all students showing the 3R's and representing our school so well. They should all be very proud of themselves. See Facebook for photos.

Have a wonderful weekend!
