Foster Cup Tennis

On Friday 1st November, our school tennis team competed in the CWWHSSA Foster Cup Tennis Competition, held at the Sunshine Ave courts. The team displayed exceptional skill, determination, and sportsmanship throughout the day.

Despite facing tough competition, our players fought hard in every point to end the round matches on top of Pool B. This meant we faced Wagga Christian College in the semi-final, KCC haven’t made finals in a number of years. The dynamic duo of Mary Middleton and Martha Vuetivavalagi, both in Year 7, helped us to narrowly win our semi final. Making the final was such a huge achievement, something Kildare haven’t been able to do for some time. We were to face Mater Dei in the final. Robert Buik in Year 7 and Albert Middleton in Year 11 put in a hard-fought effort to both win their singles matches. Unfortunately, we went down to MDCC but our dedication and teamwork were evident, and our students represented the College with pride.

Congratulations to all team members for their outstanding performance. Our success this year with such a young team means Kildare’s tennis future is looking bright! We look forward to seeing our tennis team continue to excel in future competitions.
