Principal Message
The past few weeks have been a transitory phase with one Year 12 moving on after a successful period of HSC exams and a new Year 12 commencing their HSC pathways studies supported always by our dedicated teachers. Congratulations to Year 12, 2024 on how they conducted themselves throughout their HSC exams.
This was particularly commented upon by our team of HSC supervisors led by Mrs Claire Walker who has been leading this team for over 25 years. Claire has announced her retirement from this role and on behalf of the Kildare Catholic College and Trinity Senior High communities we thank her and wish her well. She particularly noted how much she enjoys ex-students who remember her saying hello down the street and loves hearing where life’s journey has taken them.
Congratulations to Monica Thomas from Year 12, 2024 who has had her Visual Arts major work nominated for the NESA Art Express exhibition. Congratulations also to Ms Ali Sutton for her support of Monica as her teacher. An extraordinary achievement.
Our Year 10 and 11 Drama students have wowed audiences with their one hour production of Shakespeare’s Macbeth. Congratulations to Mr Mack, Miss Patterson and Ms Sutton for their efforts with the students. The standard is wonderful and you are all welcome to come to shows tonight, Friday 22ⁿᵈ November and tomorrow, Saturday 23ʳᵈ November. Tickets are $5 at the door.
Term 4 sport has seen further success with our cricketers achieving success with the Berg Shield making it to Round 3 narrowly losing to Pambula and the Downie Trophy awaiting their round 3 match. Our Boys senior rugby side have won their round games and made it through to the final on Monday evening. Our Tennis players made the final going down to Mater Dei. It's heartening to see so many students put their hands up to play in competition sports and we are very grateful to our teachers who continually give their time to support the students.
Thank you for your ongoing support of the college with its expectations, in particular our focus on mobile phones and uniforms this term. It is greatly appreciated.
A reminder that the last day for students is Friday 13ᵗʰ December. Classes with quality learning will continue through to the end of that day.
Thank you for your ongoing support.
