Expert Robotics
Expert Robotics - Come and Try
In preparation for Expert Robotics in 2025, we are encouraging current Year 4 and 5 students to attend Thursday lunch times in the STEM space to find out more information about the club and the RoboCup competition.
One of Expert Robotics' focus is to support students in constructing a robot to complete multiple tasks. These tasks may include playing a soccer game, performing a dance routine, identifying objects or following a maze.
RoboCup Challenges
On Stage challenges teams of students to design, build, and program robots to perform. This performance can be in the form of a dance in time with the beat of the music, or a theatrical presentation. Teams are scored on their performance and their technical interview (including the technical description paper).
Rescue Line
Artificial intelligence at its best! The Rescue competition mirrors the real life use of robots that rescue people from life-threatening situations.
Rescue Maze
Students are required to design, build, and program a robot to find and assist victims in a disaster area. The victims are trapped in a building represented by the competition maze.
Soccer
Students are required to design, build, and program two robots to compete in a dynamic game of robot soccer against an opposing pair of robots.
