We have embarked on a fresh Term with enthusiasm and a renewed energy, accompanied by happy expectations for the goings on in Term 4.
Our Library “Creative Director”, Mrs Holly Herrmann, has once again excelled in the delivery of another outstanding and relevant display in our Library entrance area.
Not being a user of Tik Tok in particular, or more to the point really understanding much of the current slang used by our students, I set about doing some research.
I found a simple and informatiove seven minute video from the ABC program, BTN, (Behind the news). If you feel so inclined I recommend you watch this very informative piece.
The explanation given of our use of language, the disconnect with regards to different generations and slang is relatable, informative and enlightening.

This is Mrs Herrmann’s wonderful creativity on display, including laminated bookmarks which match the large posters. Our Students have loved it, the bookmarks are needing to be restocked constantly and the smiles, recognition and laughter that ensues brightens our day.
Mrs Jane Nankivell, marvellous Co-ordininator of our Student Leaders, held a lovely gathering here in the Library with our Leaders from this year enjoying a relaxed and friendly get together with the incoming Year 12 Leaders for 2025. There was food, music, conviviality and wisdom passed from one year lever to the next.
Our second last Uniting Church Luncheon for this took place on Tuesday October 15th under the wonderful guidance of Mrs Alison Read. Alison and our students prepared a delicious sticky date pudding to accompany a Bolognaise paste bake from our Boarder’s kitchen. This time we have five wonderful year 8 Students on the day. As always everyone gained wonderful experience from the day. Thankyou all for your efforts on the day that I know was so welcomed and appreciated.
