Australian Defence Force Long Tan Leadership & Teamwork Awards

Our first recipient of a Long Tan Award is a student who has always been a leader in the School. They have completed their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh and are on their way to completing their Silver. They were involved in the Barrel Race that was a school run event for the community and helped organise and run school catering events. This student who puts 100% effort into anything she does and is always willing to help. The winner of the Year 10 Long Tan Youth Leadership and Teamwork Award for 2024 is Chloe Dubois

Year 12 Long Tan Youth Leadership and Teamwork Award

The second of these awards is presented to a student in Year 12 who has demonstrated leadership both within and outside of the school community. This student is an advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community and is a leader for youth mental health. They always encourage people to be involved in school and team activities whether that is dressing up or running a lunch time activity. They were also involved in the borderline program in Queensland and was vice Captain for the year. This person always tries their best and is not afraid to share their passionate opinions with SRC and the community.
