OSHC at Marion

At Marion OSHC we are committed to providing quality learning opportunities, delivered in a safe, secure and stimulating environment. Our goal for this term is Be Kind in OSHC.

On the last day of the October Vacation Care Program the activities were really enjoyed by the children. Nature art and craft including bark painting, leaf rubbings and pine cone bird feeders were made.

In OSHC we are doing lots of outside and physical play including wheels day on the first day of this term on the pupil free day, on the oval (soccer) the playground nature play, tennis on the courts, basketball, gym games, sandpit play/mini games, mini soccer on the grassed areas and creative play on the playground area.

Other activities have included painting, boomerang designs, indigenous scratchboard bookmarks, box construction, beading, card and board games, whiteboard drawings and daily sharing of afternoon news.

This week’s specialty menu items are waffles, penny pancakes, dry biscuits and dip, yoghurt and toast with spreads.

Parents are welcome to offer suggestions for programming ideas and to participate on our OSHC committee which meets twice a term. Being a member of this committee gives families the opportunity to have even more input into the program and if anyone is interested in becoming involved please come and talk to Guy or myself. Most families are entitled to Child Care Subsidy so please apply to Centrelink to see if you are eligible. Subsidy is applied to all fees including the additional ones for excursions and Incursions.
