Giant Connect 4

The first 3 weeks of term 4 have flown by so quick we’ll be at week 11 before we know it.

After feedback from our students we have been using the hall more often for big group games ranging from the ever popular dodgeball to line tiggy and fruit salad. It’s a great space for us to utilise when suitable and something the students really enjoy.

Board and card games have made a resurgence indoors, giant Connect 4, UNO and Guess Who among the most popular, while next door students have been enjoying a fully stocked LEGO table. This top up of 2 big tubs was generously donated by one of our families and a welcome restock of our always busy LEGO table.

We’ve had new books donated for our reading corner and a big influx of boxes for free craft and construction have been most welcome. We’ve been back in the kitchen making pikelets, muffins and mint tea using mint tea from our garden, students are keen to start a tea club of sorts experimenting and tasting different tea blends.

At Before Care, All It Tiggy and the Among Us game are a main feature for students after having enjoyed a big breakfast. It’s been so great to look out and see most of the program outside running around together.

Last week we took part in the Great Aussie Bird count with Lexi. Students walked around and pointed out all the different birds they could spot in our school environment and recorded this data into the Aussie Bird Count app.

Next week will be a Spooktacular week with Halloween on Thursday and themed activities throughout the week to get excited about.

Have a great weekend.
