Year 3/4 Cubby-Building Excursion
On Tuesday of Week 5, Year 3/4 students embarked on an exciting Cubby-Building Excursion to Belair National Park. The weather was perfect, with a beautiful, sunny day setting the stage for our adventure. It was wonderful to spend time in nature, appreciating God’s handiwork and learning together.
Nature Play SA led a series of engaging activities for us. We began by working in teams to build small cubbies suitable for bandicoots. This initial task helped us practice our teamwork and creativity.
Next, we constructed our own cubbies using branches, tarps, and ropes. Through collaboration and perseverance, each group successfully built a terrific shelter. Every team member faced the challenge of creating something special through trial and error.
I’ve included some photos of the students' beautiful creations for you to enjoy. Their ingenuity and teamwork were truly impressive – a fun and memorable day!

Debating in Junior School
Term 2 saw the exciting start of debating competitions in the Junior School. This semester, we are proud to have three debating teams: one Year 5 team and two Year 6 teams.
So far, the Year 6 teams are undefeated. Congratulations to Charis for being the speaker of the night! The Year 5 Team narrowly lost their first debate by one point and their second by half a point. Simi received the speaker of the night also!
The Year 6 Team debates at Mercedes College, while the Year 5 team competes at Pulteney Grammar, both on Tuesday nights. Competitions are held every three weeks, and the teams meet weekly with their coach to prepare for their upcoming competition.
Among our three teams, many students are first-time debaters. They should be commended for their impressive performances so far.
We look forward to more successful debates as the year progresses.
