Student Environmental Leadership Summit

Six students from the Environmental Leadership team attended Springvale Town Hall on Thursday 9th May to participate with other students from the City of Greater Dandenong in the School Environmental Leadership Summit.

The day started with a welcome to country smoking ceremony which was followed by some presentations delivered by CERES.

Students participated in group activities around waste, water, energy and biodiversity.

All schools were required to rank their own schools efforts in each of the categories of waste, water, energy and biodiversity where Athol Road P.S was clearly ranked higher than all other schools due to our focus and commitment to sustainability over the last 12 years.

The student leaders enjoyed the day and hope to implement what they learnt from the summit back at school.
